"They know the college process in and out."
We hired Sierra Admissions to help my son research what he wanted to study in school. Alex helped him land an amazing research position and brought my husband and me up to speed on the admissions process. Alex has become a mentor to Ken.

"The team came highly recommended by another parent."
We worked with Ben during our daughter's junior year. They helped finalize her class schedule for senior year and figure out how she was going to spend her summer. Ben's admissions background was extremely helpful. We are continuing for her senior year application process!

We've helped hundreds of students get into schools like...

We're your personal admissions dream-team.
We're not a consulting mill. We're a small team of former admissions officers and professional writers (and rock climbers, poets, musicians, and filmmakers). Our select team of partners, from schools like Stanford, Vanderbilt, Middlebury, and Harvard, bring over three decades of combined experience on the committee room floor.
Everyone from our team has eyes on your application and strategy. And we're all fully invested in your success. From your first year of high school, we work with you to navigate those unending decision points: Which courses should I take? Should I drop this extracurricular? What should I do this summer? What do I want to do with my life, anyway?
Our mission is to help you come into your own and make decisions that count. The result? An engaging high school experience and an authentic college application that admissions officers won't be able to put down.

"Couldn't be happier."
We’ve worked with Alex for four years and have had nothing but an amazing experience throughout. Our son did his applications with Alex and got into Brown, so we asked him to work with our daughter. In junior/senior year he helped my daughter build a school list and coached her through writing essays that were as amazing and personal as our son’s. She's now at Bowdoin. Couldn't be happier.

"If the Admit Report team is available, stop looking."
John is heading off to USC next month! We worked with Sierra Admissions from junior year on course selection, school research, and his extracurricular direction. But I think in the end it came down to the essay. It was phenomenal… We hung it on the fridge at the end of the cycle (much to John's chagrin).

"The strategy report was creepy accurate."
They gave me a huge document that explained my application strategy and options for the rest of high school. It's like they read my mind. So cool.

"The case studies changed my plans."
Watching Ben review case studies on the Admissions Journey course totally opened my eyes. I realized that my extracurriculars weren't going anywhere. The Admit Report team helped me prioritize.

"We didn't know he was behind!"
My son realized later in his sophomore year that he wanted to do engineering. Little did we know that he wasn't on the right track in math. Our consultant helped him make a plan to get ahead.

Clarity about admissions.
Guidelines for coursework & recommendations for extracurriculars.

The Admissions Journey is the best college prep program I've seen in 20+ years of working in admissions. Alex and Ben built the perfect balance of deep curriculum and personal support. Their strategic guidance is unparalleled.

High school is busy. We'll help you prioritize.

"I was embarrassed by my resume. Now I couldn't be prouder"
Before I started working with Admit Report my resume was boring, nothing impressive or interesting. The 3 pillars of an extracurricular resume idea helped a TON.

Who is the Admissions Journey for?
The Admissions Journey is a multi-year program college consulting program to help you navigate high school and gear up for the college application processes. You can jump in in any year.
The program is for you if you want a strategic partner who will...
- Help guide your decisions in high school while explaining the implications for admissions.
- Identify extracurricular pathways and narratives that stand out.
- Guide you through developing an authentic narrative throughout high school.
- Gives honest feedback about your admissions chances.
You aren't a fit if you want a consultant who...
- Will develop an extracurricular project for you or "place" you in an internship.
- Pushes you toward a small handful of "elite" colleges without regard for fit.
- "Does the process" for your student rather than your student driving the process.

"Finally some answers."
My family and I have been overwhelmed by all the options for our daughter. Our Admit Report consultant helped us sort through her options for summer and pick the ones with the biggest impact. We also talked about how her activities would help her application narrative. Super impressed.

Admissions Journey FAQs
What's included in the Admissions Journey digital course?
The Admissions Journey digital course is a grade-based college preparation program to help set you up for success in senior year. It's 30+ hours and 15+ workbooks of our best admissions information.
Ben, former Vanderbilt admissions officer, and Alex, expert writing coach, walk you through every step of high school. For each grade, you'll find chapters on academics, extracurriculars, summer planning, and college application prep. You'll also get access to a "universal" section that lays out our admissions philosophy and strategy.
In each section, you'll also find key terms, chapter summaries, and specific questions to get you thinking about how to level up your own strategy.
Do I get to meet face-to-face with someone?
Yes! In addition to the digital course, you'll also be paired with one of our expert consultants.
You'll meet with your consultant three times throughout the year. Together, you'll make decisions about coursework and extracurriculars, talk through upcoming plans, and start to develop a narrative strategy.
At the end of each session, you'll get session notes that recap the session and lay out next steps. Your consultant will give you an "assignment" to prepare for the next session—researching a particular school, applying for a summer program, signing up for student council, etc.
And when questions come up between sessions, your consultant will be an email away.
What's up with the emails?
You'll be able to reach out to your consultant via email at any time between sessions.
But you'll also be signed up for our grade-based monthly Admissions Journey email series. We send out emails every month that point you to exactly what you should be thinking about that month.

"Balanced my narrative."
I didn’t have a narrative strategy before I started working with my consultant. I was just kind of doing whatever. The Admissions Journey helped me lock in a strategy and showed me how to level up in my classes and activities.
